Warranty and Returns

If you've placed your order with with Ceiling Fans Direct, please read our information about warranty and returns below.

1. Do the products you sell come with warranty?

Yes.
All products we sell come with a minimum 12 month warranty, unless otherwise stated such as in the case of complimentary products such as free globes. 

In most cases there is also additional manufacturers warranties that would extend beyond this period.  The warranty may vary depending on the product and supplier.

Most all our ceiling fans come with IN-HOME warranties. These warranties are offered by the Manufacture and means that should you have an issues with your fan the manufacturer can arrange for a service agent to come to you and repair or replace the fan.  Some conditions apply and are outlined in the Warranty Documents supplied with your ceiling fan.

At Ceiling Fan Direct your safety is our primary concern and under Australian Law all 240V hard wired products, e.g. ceiling fans must be installed by a licensed electrical contractor. Should a product not be installed by an electrical contractor your warranty would be void. Some products we sell are DIY and can be installed without the need of an electrician. Also any repair, alteration or tampering without the approval of the manufacturer will also void your warranty. Warranties do not cover incorrect installation, normal wear and tear or damage through incorrect use.

The warranty info mentioned above is in addition to any statutory rights to which you may be entitled anther the Competition and Consumer ACT of 2010

2. I have a faulty product, what do I do now?

Most all our ceiling fans come with an In-Home Warranty (unless otherwise stated). This means that if there is a fault with the ceiling fan you can either contact us directly or contact the relevant manufacture to arrange for an in home warranty service.  Details about our ceiling fan in home warranties can also be found in the warranty info inside the fan box.

If you have a fault with something other then a ceiling fan, the faulty product in most cases will need to be return to us.
Please contact us prior to sending back any items so that we are able to assist you with the correct coarse of action.
On arrival we may need to test the product to ascertain the nature of the fault.

Depending on if the fault constitutes a Minor or Major fault you may be entitled to either a refund, repair or replacement.
In the event of a refund please allow 72hours to process the refund. The amount refunded will be reimbursed back to your original payment method.

3. Can I return a product purchased online?

Yes.
At Ceiling Fans Direct we understand that sometimes you can change your mind. We are happy to accept returns if you change your mind or simply no longer need the product. You need to return the product(s) to us within 30 days from the receipt of your item. The goods must be in original, unused condition. On receipt of the product(s) we will provide you with a store credit which is valid for 12 months. The store credit will comprise the original purchase price of the item(s) minus the delivery fee. Although some of our products may be shipped for free on return of these products our actual delivery costs will be deducted from the store credit. Insurance cannot be refunded.

4. How do I return an item bought from Ceiling Fans Direct

If you would like to return a product purchased form us and it is inside the 30 day returns policy please send us an email HERE and we will provide you with a return authority and information. Please include that number with the goods you are returning to us.
