Nice and quiet on the lower three speeds. Can definitely hear it on the top speeds but not annoying.
The electrician should still install a switch on the wall to satisfy electrical standards.
Factor in about $300 for electrician to install.
Definitely calls the room- especially around the edges rather than directly underneath it.
