Get to Know Mercator

We here at Ceiling Fans Direct work with many suppliers, which is one of the reasons we have such a large selection of discount ceiling fans. In my last post, I talked about the elegant new Mercator Launceston fan design. Now, I’d like to tell you more about the company itself and introduce you to some of their other stylish fans. Mercator has been selling ceiling fans in Australia for 46 years – they certainly know something about the market.

Mercator: Family Owned, Customer-Oriented

Because Mercator is a wholesale company, they do not sell directly to the public, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have their customers’ best interests at heart. Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to this family owned business. Because they don’t deal directly with the public, in the unlikely event of a problem with one of their products, Ceiling Fans Direct will take the lead in getting the issue addressed and resolved. Because we work directly with the company, we can say this with confidence: Mercator will always take care of things quickly and effectively. They have a highly respected national customer service network which is known for its efficient service, and they are truly a joy to work with.

Mercator’s products have been featured in ‘Real Living’ and ‘Australian House and Garden’ magazines. Mercator’s head office boasts 125,000 square feet of storage, allowing the company to more than adequately support its distribution centres and its distributors, including Ceiling Fans Direct.

More Fans by Mercator

You’ve already seen the Mercator Launceston, but that fan is not the only one in Mercator’s inventory. They sell many different styles of fans, including ceiling fans with lights. I especially like the gorgeous Mercator Rosebery. This beauty is built with a brushed chrome motor housing and timber blades. Also available in white, it has a built-in light and its blades make little to no noise, making it a perfect choice for a bedroom.

If you’re looking for something a bit more old-fashioned, take a look at the Mercator Hayman Antique Brass fan. Built with reversible blades (oak or walnut colour), this fan’s throw-back design can’t be beat. The fan does not come with a light; however, one can be added if you so desire. It is equipped with a three-speed pull chain switch, the Mercator airflow control system and a 60 watt motor.

We also offer exhaust fans and ceiling fan light kits made by Mercator, including the funky Pronto 3 ceiling fan light kit.

Mercator is a distinguished company with outstanding designs; you can’t go wrong with one of their products. We also sell products from many other suppliers. Browse the rest of our web site to see our wide selection of ceiling fans and accessories.
